When we last saw our beloved hero, she was battling the Photoshop monster, and beating him mercilessly. As we return, we see that she is STILL conquering everything photoshop throws in her path. WOOHOO! Today she mastered the art of blending images, using adjustment layers, blending modes, type effects, and using the info panel. Its not so pretty, but today was obviously about TEXTURE.

Photoshop Adventures Post 2
Day 2 in the wilderness, and I come out victorious yet again.
Today I used type to tame the beast, and gave it an outer glow and a drop shadow.
I also gave everything a feather mask, which made it seem much less scary, and like it was a mardi gras celebration!
After it was all said and done, I then embarassed him further by changing his colors from red to blue. HA!
all in all it was a success, much to the dismay of my foe.
One day I believe we will be friends, but until that day comes, he'd better watch out.

Photoshop Adventures Post 1
I am currently in the process of teaching myself how to use Photoshop, because the Photoshop class was full, and I feel that I need to know this program whether they'll teach it to me or not!
So I am going on an adventure.
I am starting with the freshmen required "online courses" for photoshop. If you are not familiar, the freshmen no longer have to do Digital Design & Type...they have to do 3 0-credit courses on the 3 major CS5 programs (you can access them thru iqweb). I am doing the lessons for photoshop to get a basic understanding.
The first lesson, I have nothing to show for, because it was basic things that even I knew from my brief acquaintance-ing with photoshop such as saving a document and what is vector.
So I moved on to lesson 2...and all of you (whether you care or not) get to enjoy the skilled treasures that result from these lessons, and my major accomplishments. You can watch me discover things that you may have been born knowing...that I have been struggling with up until now.
BUT I WILL STRUGGLE NO LONGER BECAUSE ON THIS VERY DAY, I HAVE MASTERED THE SKILLS OF LASSOING, THE MAGIC WAND, AND LAYER MASKS.
be proud. I am.

Welcome
Welcome friends and fellow bloggers. I wanted to give you a very personal "hello" to my blog, and to tell you that you are always welcome for a visit. I love critiques of my work, so please feel free to help me become the best artist that I can become.
All the artwork that is posted thus far is stuff from my sophomore year at CCAD. In the upcoming weeks I plan to do a painting for a friend as well as do various experimenting with photoshop. Just stick with me until I get back into the groove of CCAD life, and stop procrastinating on things as much as i have this summer.
Thanks for visiting! see you again soon!
